Designed to help your child meet age-appropriate cognitive milestones and learn from real preschool curricula, Gummies Playground presents learning in fun, colorful minigames that are easy to understand. Gummies Playground teaches: Number Recognition - Basic Number Tracing, Counting, Grouping, and Tallying; Letter Recognition - Letter Tracing and Basic Spelling; Shape, Color, Animal, and Food Recognition; Matching Shapes, Shadows, and Silhouettes; Finding Similarities and Differences in Color and Scale; Memorizing Simple Patterns; Encourages Creative Play; Reinforces following Simple Directions; Recognizes Names of Familiar Objects; Helps to Develop Fine Motor Skills, Patience, and Determination

History

The idea for Gummies Playground really began with the Gummies themselves. Created in 2010, the Gummies came to life on paper napkins in our favorite Greek restaurant and are designed to be walking emoticons. We wanted something that would attract children so they could mentor and teach easily. Gummies are silly creatures, who love life and live it with joy. They are gender-neutral - girls can be just as strong as boys, and the Gummies show this by holding traditionally male "jobs." They can be fire fighters, policewomen, doctors, and scientists. They are wonderful role models for children. With such strong characters, Gummies Playground came about naturally. These characters were eager to teach, and their lessons fell together naturally once we'd discussed curriculum and cognitive milestones with our educator, Crystal. We took those lesson plans and turned them into minigames, allowing the bright, cheerful Gummies to shine through. We made sure to encourage a positive learning environment, so that kids would feel successful. We hope that our thoughts and effort to make a safe, fun game for your children shows in Gummies Playground!
